Proudly Servicing Industry Leaders

Operating Across Australia and the Asia-Pacific

GBG Group is a specialist geophysical and engineering investigations company that has been providing subsurface and structural information for projects across Australia since 1993.

Using advanced geophysical imaging and non-invasive techniques, we help our clients and partners reduce uncertainty, manage ground-related risk and make confident decisions at every stage of development, from early feasibility through to detailed design, construction support, and ongoing asset assessment. Our teams take ownership of outcomes, working closely with clients to deliver practical, reliable insights in complex environments.

With offices in Sydney and Perth, our Australian team brings decades of local knowledge, practical field experience, and a deep understanding of the conditions that shape projects across the mining, infrastructure, environmental, and structural sectors. Through close consultation and pre-project planning, we tailor our investigations to deliver the insights each project requires.

Local Expertise, Global Experience

We are part of a global network originally established in the United Kingdom in 1982, with expanded operations across Australia and the USA.

This gives our clients and partners access to over 40 years of international expertise, specialist methodologies, and shared innovation. This global reach strengthens our Australian capability while ensuring local projects benefit from the same leading-edge practices applied across all regions.

Our multidisciplinary team of geophysicists, engineers, geologists and NDT specialists has delivered thousands of projects spanning mining and civil infrastructure, marine investigations, environmental and groundwater studies, structural diagnostics, and archaeology. With one of the largest and varied geophysical and NDT equipment inventories in Australia, we apply the right tools to every environment, integrating geophysics with traditional investigation methods to provide clear, defensible subsurface and structural information that improves design certainty, reduces risk, and adds value to every project.

Our approach is built on accountability and continuous improvement. Project teams are closely connected to delivery and supported to refine and improve how we operate. We take pride in the quality of our data, our reporting, and the outcomes we deliver.
